The 2025 Lilac Parade will return to Lombard on Sunday, May 18, 2025. The parade will begin at 1:30 p.m., starting from Glenbard East High School, located at 1014 S. Main Street, and proceeding north on Main Street toward Maple Street. To help ensure a safe and enjoyable event, Lombard Police Chief Joe Grage has announced temporary parking restrictions and road closures that will be in effect during the parade.

Parking restrictions will be in place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, May 18, 2025, in designated areas along and near the parade route. Residents and attendees are encouraged to review the 2025 Lilac Parade Parking Restrictions map for details. When possible, Lombard residents are encouraged to leave their cars at home and walk to the Parade. All attendees are asked to respect posted signage, and residents are reminded not to remove “No Parking” signs before or during the event to ensure proper enforcement and parade operations.

Residents and attendees are urged to cooperate with the Village and the Lombard Lilac Festival Parade Committee to help prevent individuals from removing the posted "No Parking" signs before and during the parade. Additionally, everyone is advised to follow the temporary parking restrictions so the parade can run as smoothly and efficiently as possible.

Main Street will be closed to vehicle traffic from Central Avenue to Parkside Avenue, beginning shortly before the parade start time. Detour routes will be posted to help maintain traffic flow throughout the area. From the north, drivers may use St. Charles Road east to Grace Street, south on Grace to Central Avenue, west to Edward Street, and west to Finley Road. Alternatively, motorists can take St. Charles Road west to Finley Road, continue on Crescent Boulevard, and head south on Finley Road. From the south, drivers may use Edward Street west to Finley Road and continue north.

Volunteers from the Lombard Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association will assist the Lombard Police Department with traffic control and crowd management throughout the event. To ensure adequate emergency response coverage, the Lombard Fire Department will station ambulances at the intersections of Main Street and Harrison Street, as well as Main Street and Hickory Street.

As a reminder, the Lilac Parade is a family-friendly event. In accordance with Village Ordinance Title 9, Chapter 95.03, Section (A), the consumption of alcoholic beverages along the parade route is strictly prohibited.
