The Lombard Police Department, in partnership with the DuPage County Sheriff’s Office, Glen Ellyn Police Department and Wheaton Police Department, is recruiting participants for DuPage Metro Police Explorer Post #644. 

The Police Explorer Program provides students ages 14 to 20 with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and learn about careers in law enforcement. Participants work alongside local officers and take part in educational sessions, training exercises and other activities designed to provide insight into the responsibilities and day-to-day operations of police work. Through the program, Explorers develop leadership, teamwork, communication and problem-solving skills while learning more about public safety and community service.

Students who are interested in pursuing a career in law enforcement or gaining a better understanding of the profession are encouraged to apply.
