On February 19, 2026, the Lombard Village Board of Trustees formally approved the Village’s 2026–2029 Strategic Plan, setting a clear direction for the organization over the next three years.
The Strategic Plan outlines the Village’s vision, mission, and guiding principles, and identifies key priorities that will shape decision-making and resource allocation. It serves as a roadmap to align the annual budget, capital improvement planning, policy initiatives, economic development efforts, and public safety goals.
The five strategic priorities for 2026–2029 are:
- Increase Fiscal Strength
- Improve Operational Effectiveness
- Broaden Communication and Engagement
- Expand Economic Development
- Modernize Infrastructure Systems
