The Public Works Department will host a public meeting on Thursday, February 23, 2023, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Lombard Village Hall (255 E Wilson Ave) to share information and answer questions related to the upcoming North Grace Street Utilities Improvement project. Attendees are encouraged to view a short PowerPoint presentation online or in the Village Hall Board Room before the meeting.
The scope of work includes the transfer of water services to a larger diameter water main, water main lining, and replacement of a portion of the existing water main. Sanitary sewer is the other component of the job. Work will include the replacement of the sanitary main, the lining of the sanitary main, and the partial replacement of sanitary services. The extent of the work will necessitate some sidewalk, curb, and gutter, driveway apron, and roadway pavement removal and replacement. Tree removals and parkway restoration are also part of the project. Three streetlights will be temporarily relocated to accommodate utility work
