[ARCHIVED] Police Activity in the Area

Social Image Police Department Update

UPDATE 10:15 AM:  Police remain on scene in the area of St. Charles Road and Lincoln Avenue as they continue to investigate an attempted armed robbery at a local business and discharge of a firearm.  Two suspects fled the scene and are currently in custody.  There is no active threat to the public and no injuries have been reported.  A police presence and road closures in the area will remain for some time as police continue their investigation.  Please note, police activity in the area of North Avenue and Bloomingdale Road in Glendale Heights is unrelated.   

ORIGINAL POST: There is currently police activity and a large police presence in the area of St. Charles Rd. and Lincoln Ave. Police are requesting individuals within the immediate area to stay inside. Temporary road closures are in place. Lombard Police ask that individuals avoid this area. Further updates will follow.
