The Lombard Police Department and Dunkin’ will once again participate in the annual Cop on a Rooftop program. This year’s event is scheduled for Friday, May 17, from 5 a.m. to noon. Hundreds of law enforcement officers throughout the state will stake out Dunkin’ rooftops to raise awareness and donations for the Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR) to benefit Special Olympics Illinois. Lombard police officers will be at the following three (3) Lombard Dunkin’ locations: 1160 S Main St, 411 E North Ave, and 85 Yorktown Shopping Ctr.
All guests who donate to the Torch Run will receive a coupon for a free donut. Guests who donate $10 or more will receive a LETR/ Dunkin’ branded travel mug (while supplies last) and a coupon for a free medium hot coffee. Additional police personnel, community volunteers and area Special Olympic athletes will be collecting donations and selling the 2024 Special Olympics Torch Run T-shirts at the event.
2024 marks the 22nd anniversary of the Dunkin’ and Illinois Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Illinois partnership.
