As the summer construction season gets underway, the Village is reminding contractors and maintenance crews of the Village’s construction hours. In most cases, outdoor construction activity, including lawn maintenance, is permitted between from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays, within 300 feet of a residential structure. While the Village informs contractors of these regulations, we understand that isolated violations may occur. The Village often receives complaints of these situations after the fact, when little can be done. Residents with construction noise complaints should call Code Enforcement at 630-620-5757 at the time of occurrence. If the complaint is during overnight or weekend hours, call 9-1-1 so an officer may be dispatched to the scene.
