The Lombard Fire Department and Lombard Firefighters Union 3009 are once again hosting a pink t-shirt fundraiser, raising funds for Bhorade Cancer Care Center at Good Samaritan Hospital. Shirts are $15 and are available in sizes small - XXL. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this year’s purchase and pick-up of pink t-shirts will take place on Saturday, October 3, 12 - 4 p.m., at Rock Bottom Yorktown. Off-duty firefighters will be on location, selling and distributing shirts. Masks and social distancing will be required. Anyone purchasing a shirt on October 3rd will also receive a 25% off coupon at Rock Bottom Restaurant.
Lombard Firefighter/Paramedics will be allowed the option to wear the pink t-shirt throughout the month of October, in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
