Overnight street parking from 2 – 5 a.m., is not allowed in Lombard, per Village Ordinance. Residents requesting approval for temporary exemption of overnight parking restrictions may call 9-1-1 to do so, however the Lombard Police Department now offers a convenient online request option. Visit www.frontlinepss.com/lombard, select “submit” and provide vehicle information to request overnight parking approval, with a maximum allowance of 4 days per month.
If extended time is needed for long term guest or home construction project, residents may call (630)873-4400 and ask for police administration.
Large Complex Temporary On-Street Overnight Parking
If you are inquiring about overnight parking for multiple vehicles for a complex (condominium, townhouse, apartments) because of parking lot work, garage work or other activities of that nature, a Temporary On-Street Parking application must be completed and submitted to the Public Works Department. Once approved, the application will be returned to you via email and it will not be necessary for individual residents of the complex to call in their cars. The Village of Lombard operates two (2) quarterly permit lots, three (3) daily fee lots, and four (4) Resident-Only lots for commuter parking purposes. The lots are located near the Metra station in downtown Lombard. The number of spaces is limited. View the map of parking lots to see where you can park. Permits are first made available to current permit holders. Permits may be renewed online, through the mail, or in person at the Village Hall..
Daily Fee Parking
Daily fee spaces can be paid for at the pay box located in the parking lot or at the Metra station. You can also pay for daily fees by registering for Passport Parking. The Lombard zone for Passport Parking is 60148.
Commuter Parking Wait List Instructions for Quarterly Permits
There is currently a wait list for quarterly parking permits with an estimated wait time of three years.

Lot Change Request Instructions
You may request to be moved to a different commuter parking lot during renewal periods only. Once you receive your renewal form, send an email to email@example.com stating which lot/s you would like to be moved to in order of preference. Requests are fulfilled on a first-come, first-served basis, based on availability. If we are unable to move you to your preferred lot, you will remain in your current lot and you must try again at the next renewal period.
Additional Transportation to the Metra Station
Pace provides weekday rush hour service between southwestern Lombard and the Metra UP - West Line Lombard Station. Serves the Yorktown Condominiums, The Covington, Cove Landing, Clover Creek, Point West, International Village, Royal Glen, the Glen Ellyn Apartment Homes and the Metra UP - West Line Lombard Station. The Union Pacific Railroad (UPRR) maintains the outside of the station building, the tunnel, platforms, ramps and stairs. This maintenance includes snow/ice and trash removal. The UPRR is also responsible to enforce the smoking ban. Metra uses the station but has no maintenance responsibilities. The Village assists to remove graffiti, maintain security cameras, and remove trash from the tunnel. The Village uses a contractor to maintain the landscaping and the street-level trash cans & sidewalks. Please help by reporting maintenance needs to the responsible party.
