State Senator Suzy Glowiak Hilton is hosting an event with free shredding services in Lombard that offers residents a safe option to discard documents with personal information. The event will be held on the Village Hall Campus on Saturday, September 24 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Attendees are asked to enter the complex on Wilson Avenue. Questions should be directed to Sen. The Lombard Historical Society (LHS) Invites all to the 50th Anniversary Celebration & Food Truck Social, Saturday, September 24, 2022 from 3 – 9:30 pm at 23 West Maple Street. General Admission is FREE and open to the public; purchase food and drinks tickets separately. This is an outdoor event and guests are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs. The lot west of the museum will be closed off for the event, but there will be ample free street parking available in the surrounding area. And, please, no pets, smoking or outside food or beverages. Join us for a round of Night Golf at Lombard Golf Course! This is a 9-hole, four person scramble. Golfers 17 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Registration includes nine holes of golf, hand cart rental, two glow golf balls, and a hot dog, chips and beverage for each team member. Additional golf balls are available for purchase at the event for $5 each. Please have one person register the four person team. Please note: check-in will begin 60 minutes prior to the listed start time. Please check-in at least 20 minutes prior to the event start time. A shotgun start will begin play at the listed time. Motorized carts are not available for Night Golf. Please register online or in-person at Sunset Knoll Recreation Center.
