Village Offices Closed for Holiday

Lombard's Village Offices will be closed on Monday, Dec. 24 and Tuesday, Dec. 25, due to the Christmas holiday. Offices will reopen on Wednesday, Dec. 26 for regular business hours, 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday - Friday. 

Additionally, Waste Management will be recognizing a holiday schedule and will not be operating service on Tuesday, Dec. 25. Pick ups will be delayed by one day. More

Drive Sober Get Pulled Over

Officers will be out in full force through January 2, cracking down on impaired drivers and seat belt violators. Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over! More 

Thanksgiving Crackdown Results
During the Thanksgiving Drive Sober or Get Puled Over crackdown, Lombard Officers issued:

  • 70 seat belt citations
  • 11 car seat citations
  • 27 speeding citations
  • 34 cell phone violation citations
Officers also made several arrests for outstanding warrants, drugs, driving with a suspended license and misdemeanor speeding.

Holiday Tree Recycling 

Residents may place trees, free of tinsel and decorations, at their curbsides, January 7-18, at no charge. 

Holiday Light Recycling
Recycle old lights through Monday, Jan. 21, in front of Lombard Public Works at 1051 S. Hammerschmidt Avenue.  Wiring and the small bulbs are accepted, but not ornaments.
