Veterans Day Ceremony this
Monday, November 12  at 11 a.m. 

Please join the Village of Lombard for its annual Veterans Day Ceremony on Monday, Nov. 12, at 11 a.m., in the Sunken Garden at Lombard Common Park, near the intersection of Grace and Maple Streets. 

Village President Keith Giagnorio will welcome attendees and Rabbi Frederick Kamil from the Congregation Etz Chaim will open the ceremony with an invocation. The speaker will be World War II Veteran and Lombard resident, Howard Hill. More

Blood Drive

Fall Blood Drive Honors Veterans and Memory of Bill Mueller 

The Village of Lombard is hosting its annual fall blood drive on Wednesday, Nov. 14 in honor of Veterans Day.

This event also recognizes the former Village President Bill Mueller, who passed away in 2012. Residents are encouraged to donate blood in honor of Mueller’s dedication to Lombard’s veterans. More 


Campaign Sign Recycling 

Are you looking to dispose of campaign signs? A campaign sign recycling bin is available in the Village Hall Parking Lot, just east of Village Hall, through Nov. 19. Corrugated plastic signs and metal stands may be dropped in the bins for free recycling. More

Please note this offer is for corrugated plastic signs only. Please follow the posted instructions and place corrugated signs and metal stands in their proper bins.

Fire Department Toy Parade

Fire Department Toy Drive and Toy Parade 

The Lombard Fire Department's 18th Annual Toy Drive kicks off Monday, Nov. 26 and will end with the Toy Parade on Main Street on Saturday, Dec. 8. Toys may be dropped off at Village Hall, Lombard Fire Stations and other locations around town from Nov. 26 - Dec. 8, or delivered by hand to the Fire Department during the Toy Parade on Dec. 8. Sewer blocked by leaves

Public Works Begins Fall Street Sweeping 

Public Works will be conducting its Fall Street Sweeping Program, through Nov. 18, with all street sweeping scheduled for completion by Nov. 21. Residents are encouraged to park on driveways when possible, to allow street sweepers to clear roadways. 

While the Village is actively working to prevent blocked sewers, residents are reminded that clearing debris from street sewer grates near their home or on their property will help promote drainage and could prevent flooding. Candidate Petitions for Municipal Election Available

Candidate Petitions for Municipal Election Available

Petitions for candidacy for the 2019 Consolidated General Election are currently available for pick-up at the Lombard Village Hall, 255 E. Wilson Avenue. The Consolidated General Election will take place on April 2, 2019 for Municipal, Park District, Library District, School District and Fire District Officials.  

Within the Village of Lombard, three 4-year positions for District Trustees in Districts 2, 4, and 5 are up for election. More
