Campaign Sign Recycling
Bring unwanted political signs made of corrugated plastic and metal stands to Village Hall for free recycling, Wednesday, Nov. 7 - Monday, Nov. 9. Signs may be placed in a specified bin in the parking lot during this time for recycling. More

Political Campaign Sign Restrictions
With the upcoming election taking place this Tuesday, Nov. 6, the Village reminds residents and business owners to follow regulations related to political campaign signs located in the Village. More 

Candidate Petitions Available for Municipal Elections 
Petitions for candidacy for the 2019 Consolidated General Election are currently available for pick-up at the Lombard Village Hall, 255 E. Wilson Avenue. The Consolidated General Election will take place on April 2, 2019 for Municipal, Park District, Library District, School District and Fire District Officials.  

Within the Village of Lombard, three 4-year positions for District Trustees in Districts 2, 4, and 5 are up for election. More

Video Gaming Discussion Continues at Upcoming Committee Meetings 

The Village of Lombard is continuing committee level discussion of the existing local ban on video gaming.The Finance and Administration Committee discussed video gaming at their October 22nd meeting. Agenda materials and draft meeting minutes from that meeting are available at villageoflombard.org/videogaming. The Public Safety and Transportation Committee will be discussing video gaming at its upcoming November 7th meeting, followed by the Community Relations Committee on Monday, Nov. 12th and the Economic and Community Development Committee on Monday, Dec. 10th. Recreational Vehicle and Boat Winter Storage Restrictions

RV and Boat Winter Parking Restrictions In Place

Beginning today, Nov. 1, Village Ordinance prohibits the parking and storage of boats, trailers, and other recreational vehicles in front yards. During the winter months, residents can park their recreational vehicles in:

  • A garage
  • Side or rear yards, as long as the vehicle is on a hard surface
  • In the front yard past the setback of 30 feet
  • Or at an off-site storage location

Lombard’s Free Fall Leaf Pickup Program Begins Monday November 5

Annual Six Week Fall Leaf Pick Up Begins Monday 

Lombard’s annual six-week free leaf pick-up for residents begins Monday, Nov. 5 and ends Friday, Dec. 14, when all yard waste collection will cease for the year.

During this period, residential property owners may place an unlimited amount of paper bags containing only leaves curbside on their normal Waste Management collection day without need of stickers. More



Fall Blood Drive honors Veterans and memory of former Village President Bill Mueller

The Village of Lombard is hosting its annual fall blood drive on Wednesday, Nov.14 in honor of Veteran’s Day. This event also the former Village President Bill Mueller, who passed away in 2012. Residents are encouraged to donate blood in honor of Mueller’s dedication to Lombard’s veterans. Donors will receive a $10 Colonial Cafe Certificate, a Chicago Wolves Ticket (while supplies last), a free pint of Culver’s Frozen Custard, and will be entered into a raffle for a Yorktown Center gift card. More
