Lombard Police Will Conduct Roadside Safety Check, Oct. 26

This Halloween, the Lombard Police Department will have an extra presence on the roads, seeking out impaired drivers and seat belt violators. Efforts include a roadside safety check scheduled for the evening of Friday, Oct. 26, at an undisclosed location in Lombard.

Dispose of Unwanted Prescription Drugs - No Questions Asked

Many people don't realize that a good portion of abused prescription drugs are obtained from family and friends' home medicine cabinets. Bring your unwanted or expired prescription drugs to the Lombard Police Station, 235 E. Wilson Ave., on Saturday, Oct. 27, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. for safe disposal - no questions asked. More

Campaign Sign Reminders 

With the upcoming election on Tuesday, Nov. 6 approaching, the Village is reminding residents and business owners of regulations pertaining to political campaign signs located within the Village. 

  • Political campaign sighs exceeding 2 feet in height above grade shall not be located within the clear line of sight areas at driveways or intersections
  • Political campaign signage placed on private property should have the consent of the property owner
  • Please plan on removing signs by Friday, Nov. 16.

RV Winter Parking Reminders

Beginning Thursday, Nov. 1, Village Ordinance prohibits the parking and storage of boats, trailers, and other recreational vehicles in front yards. During the winter months, residents can park their recreational vehicles in:

  • A garage
  • Side or rear yards, as long as the vehicle is on a hard surface
  • In the front yard past the setback of 30 feet
  • Or at an off-site storage location

Candidate Petitions for Municipal Elections Available

Petitions for candidacy for the 2019 Consolidated General Election are currently available for pick-up at the Lombard Village Hall, 255 E. Wilson Avenue.

The Consolidated General Election will take place on April 2, 2019 for Municipal, Park District, Library District, School District and Fire District Officials.  

Within the Village of Lombard, three 4-year positions for District Trustees in Districts 2, 4, and 5 are up for election. More
