Westmore-Meyers Resurfacing and Path Crossing Improvement Project
The contractor has begun placing the final asphalt layer, starting at St. Charles Rd., heading south. One lane will remain open in each direction. The asphalt layer is scheduled to be completed next week and to receive final pavement markings on Oct. 29, depending on weather. www.villageoflombard.org/westmore 

IDOT's Roosevelt Rd. Resurfacing Project
IDOT has notified the Village that they are finishing the paving of the road surface, striping the roadway, cleaning the sewer and have poured sidewalk concrete. The project is scheduled for completion by the end of October. 

IDOT Announces I-355 Ramp Closures
IDOT has notified the Village that the exit ramps from I-355 will be closed for asphalt paving. Detours will be in place 

  • Northbound I-355 to North Ave., Sunday, Oct. 21
  • Northbound I-355 to Roosevelt Rd., Friday, Oct. 26
  • Northbound I-355 to Butterfield Rd., Sunday, Oct. 28

The Lombard Police Department will be out in full force this Halloween, Friday, Oct. 26 - Nov. 1, with a roadside safety check scheduled for Oct. 26 at an undisclosed location. 

Little ghouls and goblins are out in neighborhoods and on busy streets after dark. If you plan to be out celebrating, keep this fearsome warning in mind: Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over Lombard! More

Bring unwanted or expired prescription drugs to the Lombard Police Station on Saturday, Oct. 27 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m., for safe disposal - no questions asked. Many people are unaware that expired or unwanted medicines commonly found in home cabinets are highly susceptible to diversion, misuse, and abuse. Help keep your friends and family safe! More


Fall Leaf Collection Begins Nov. 5

Fall Leaf Collection Begins Nov. 5

Lombard's Free Fall Leaf Collection Program will begin the week of Monday, Nov. 5 and will run end on Dec. 14. During this time, an unlimited number of paper bags containing only leaves may be placed curbside for free collection. More
