Construction Updates

Westmore-Meyers Resurfacing and Path Crossing Improvements 
Westmore-Meyers, between Roosevelt Road and St. Charles Road will soon be under construction for infrastructure improvements. Construction will include upgrades to roadway surface and path crossing improvements. Motorists should expect lane closures and traffic delays. Main Street Lane Closures
Beginning tomorrow, September 14, the outside lane of southbound Main Street at Maple Street, will experience intermittent closures, for work on the Maple Street Chapel. Map

IDOT's Roosevelt Road Project
The Illinois Department of Transportation's Roosevelt Road Resurfacing Project is scheduled for completion by the end of October. While not a Village project, we will continue to share updates as they are made available. The project is expected to require lane closures until completion, resulting in traffic delays. Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes. For updates from IDOT, visit their Current Road Conditions page, select state highway and S038.

Police Action Results in Charges Filed

The Lombard Police Department worked with DuPage County State's Attorney's Office to investigate the details of an incident that occurred in Lombard on Sept. 11. Lombard Police responded to a call at 2:30 p.m. to the block of 100 W. Ash. A suspect was apprehended and the scene was clear within an hour of the original call. Daniel Grayson, 41, has been charged. For more information please see the State's Attorney's Office statement here

Bring some of your hard to recycle items to Lombard's Recycling Extravaganza on Saturday, Sept. 22 including books, bikes, crutches, wheelchairs, clothing, reusable furniture, appliances, building supplies, flags, cell phones, eyeglasses, hearing aids, and more! (Electronic recycling is not available at this event.) More


Police Department Car Seat Checks: Sept. 22

The Lombard Police Department is offering free car seat checks and education to parents and caregivers on Saturday, Sept. 22, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m., at the Police Station (235 E. Wilson Ave.)

It is estimated that 2 out of 3 car seats are misused. Have your seat inspected to make sure you're using the right size seat and know for sure! More

Lombard's 2018 Senior Fair: Oct 3

The Village will be hosting its annual Senior Fair on Wednesday, Oct. 3, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. at the Lombard Community Building at Common Park. More than 30 vendors will present information about community groups and senior safety at the free event. The 2018 Senior Man and Senior Woman of the Year will be announced at 10 a.m. in the lobby. Tree Safety Reminder

The Village thanks residents and business owners that have shown support by displaying red ribbons, for students injured in a bonfire at the start of summer. Anyone who has a red ribbon on a tree is being asked to please remove unattended to ribbons or periodically loosen the ribbons to avoid damage to the tree. More
