Fourth of July Fireworks this Wednesday

Residents and visitors are invited to attend the Village's Fourth of July Fireworks Display at Madison Meadow Park this Wednesday, July 4. Parking in the surrounding neighborhoods will be restricted and attendees are highly encouraged to utilize the Village's free shuttle service from Madison School, 150 W. Madison St., Pleasant Lane School, 401 N. Main St. and Glenbard East High School, 1014 S. Main St. Pick-ups from these locations will go directly to the Madison Meadow Park. As a reminder, this is a family friendly and alcohol free event. More information including parking maps and a FAQ is available at

Village Offices will be closed on Wednesday, July 4th, in observance of the Independence Day Holiday, and Waste Management services will be delayed by one day. 

Offices will reopen on Thursday, July 5 at 8 a.m. Normal Village Office hours are Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. More

Drive Sober Get Pulled Over 

The Lombard Police Department announced its plans for July Fourth traffic enforcement with a focus on drunk and unbuckled drivers.   The crackdown will run from June 25 through July 8 to encompass the Independence Day Holiday, an all-too-often deadly time on Illinois Roads and will include a Roadside Safety Check on Friday, July 6th.  If you plan on drinking, plan ahead for a sober ride home.  More

Cruise Nights and Summer Concerts

Saturday is just around the corner! To go along with  rockabilly music from Rosie and the Rivets (6:30-9:30 p.m.), this week's optional Cruise Car theme will be hot rods! This week's Kids' Corner is sponsored by the Lombard Park District. Stop by Kids' Corner on the southeast corner of St. Charles and Park Ave., for a fun and free activity!

Police K9 Thor Receives New Vest

Lombard Police Department’s K9 Thor will receive a bullet and stab protective vest thanks to a charitable donation from non-profit organization Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. K9 Thor’s vest is sponsored by Lincolnwood Training Club, Inc. for German Shepherd Dogs. Lombard’s K9 Officer Thor is a 2 year old German Shepherd serving the Village after the retirement of Lombard’s past K9 Officer Chico.  More
