St. Charles Road Crosswalk Improvements Project Update

July 22, 2025 - UPDATE

As part of the improvements along St. Charles Road, the Village will be installing Accessible Pedestrian Signals (APS) at the intersection of St. Charles Road and Park Avenue. Work is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, and is expected to be completed within two weeks, weather permitting. 

 While no road closures or detours are anticipated, adjacent parking spaces may be temporarily used during the work. Arrow boards and flaggers will be onsite to help direct traffic around concrete trucks as needed.

This final improvement is part of the Village’s commitment to enhance pedestrian safety and promote accessibility throughout the downtown area.
