St. Charles Road Crosswalk Improvements Project Update

July 2, 2025 - UPDATE

As part of the improvements along St. Charles Road, the Village will be installing Accessible Pedestrian Signals (APS) at the intersection of St. Charles Road and Park Avenue. Work is scheduled to begin the week of Monday, July 7, 2025, and is expected to be completed within two weeks, weather permitting. 

This final improvement is part of the Village’s commitment to enhance pedestrian safety and promote accessibility throughout the downtown area. Thank you for your continued patience and support as we complete this important work.

Additional Reminders

As with any road construction, plan ahead for possible delays when traveling through work zones. Please use extra caution while driving near construction areas: follow posted signage, reduce speed and be mindful of workers and pedestrians.
