September is National Preparedness Month

September is National Preparedness Month and this year, the Illinois Emergency Management Agency's theme is "A Lasting Legacy - The life you've built is worth protecting. Prepare for disasters to create a lasting legacy for your and your family."

Emergencies can happen anytime and anywhere without notice. Preparedness is a shared responsibility; it takes a whole community. That's why the Village of Lombard encourages residents to be prepared in the event of an emergency or natural disaster.
