Cruise Nights Returns to Downtown Lombard Saturday, July 10

Lombard’s Cruise Nights and Summer Concerts, brought to you by The 450 Elevated Apartment Living, will return to downtown Lombard, this Saturday night! A concert from The StingRays will take place 6 – 9 p.m. on S. Park Ave., and guests may set up chairs at 5 p.m.

South Park Ave and Concert Seating
Expanded outdoor seating remains in effect for restaurants on S. Park Ave. and South Park Ave. will closed to traffic at 4 p.m. Guests seeking to set up chairs are encouraged to arrive early due to a reduced concert seating area. Due to limited concert space on South Park Ave., North Park Ave. will be closed to traffic from St. Charles to Orchard Terrace. This location is where popcorn and water will be sold by Lombard Citizen's Police Academy Alumni Association and a craft from The 450 sponsorship table will be available Cruise cars may not park on North Park Ave. south of Orchard Terrace.

Lilac Time Photo Winners Announced

Congratulations to Caitlin Flicek for winning the 2021 Lilac Time Photo Contest with her image "Smell of a Lilac."

The Village of Lombard is thanking everyone who participated in the 2021 Lilac Time Photo Contest. This year's contest encouraged participants to submit photos that were focused on lilacs. The submitted photos were judged for content, as well as composition, lighting, texture, and color.

Lombard Cycling Classic Returns to Downtown Lombard July 20

The Lombard Cycling Classic will take place in downtown Lombard, on Tuesday, July 20, from 10 a.m. – 8:15 p.m., with detours and road closures beginning at 6 a.m. This family friendly event is part of a 10-day nationally-renowned bicycling event series, The Intelligentsia Cup Chicago, which runs from July 16 – 25 at various locations in the Chicago area. The event is hosted by the DuPage County Convention and Visitors Bureau, includes several hundred professional and amateur road cyclists competing in races throughout the day on a designated course through downtown Lombard, and will bring national attention to the Lilac Village.

Recent severe storms remind us that dangerous weather can happen anywhere, in an instant. Did you know that tornado sirens aren't meant to be heard indoors and are designed to warn people who are outside to take shelter? Residents indoors are reminded to sign up for weather alerts on their phones or by purchasing a NOAA weather alert radio for their homes.
