In accordance with State guidance, the Village of Lombard anticipates mask use will be optional for persons visiting Lombard Village Hall as well as the Police Department, Fire Department, and Public Works facilities effective on Monday, February 28th.

The Village encourages members of the public to do business with the Village by whichever method matches their comfort level --whether it be online, by email, by phone or in-person. Village Hall walk-in hours are Monday - Thursday, 8:30 a.m. - 4 p.m., and Village staff is available to assist residents by phone at (630) 620-5700 or appointment during regular business hours, Monday – Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Governor Pritzker has announced his intention to lift the statewide indoor mask requirement effective Monday, February 28, 2022. As such, Illinois residents can resume activities without wearing a mask indoors except where required by federal, state, local, tribal, or territorial laws, rules, and regulations, including local business and workplace guidance. Federal requirements, in effect through at least March 18, include all transportation systems such as airports, planes, trains, and buses.

In addition, please note that Individual and private businesses may still choose to require masks and patrons entering these businesses should be respectful and comply with their requirements.

Shop Local Whenever Possible

Residents are strongly encouraged to choose to dine and shop locally whenever possible. Residents who spend tax dollars in town not only support our remarkable small businesses but those dollars are reinvested in the community in impactful ways.

It is estimated that for every $100 spent at a locally-owned business, $73 remains in the local economy. Compared to the same $100 spent at a non-locally owned business, where only $43 remains in the local economy.
