Police Department Announces Super Bowl Weekend Enforcement Results

The Lombard Police Department today announced it made 37 stops and issued 25 citations, including 3 DUI arrests and 4 child seatbelt citations during the recent Super Bowl enforcement campaign.

In addition, the Lombard Police Department issued the following:

2 Cellphone Citations
8 Speeding Citations
11 Other Citations (Moving/Non-Moving)

The Super Bowl weekend Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over and Click It or Ticket enforcement effort ran from Friday, Feb. 11, through the early morning hours of Monday, Feb. 14, to keep impaired drivers off the roads and ensure more people buckle up and follow all traffic safety laws.

Parkside Avenue Closures

The Holladay Construction Company may continue to require temporary closures on Parkside Avenue, and such closures may be made without specific notice when necessary for the safety of workers and the public. The closure hours will be between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. A detour will be in place to direct motorists around the block on Charlotte St, Maple St and Main St, while pedestrians will have uninterrupted access through the closure. Additionally, access to the commuter parking spaces and the three residential driveways will remain accessible from Charlotte Street as “local traffic.”

To help eligible customers stay current on their bills, and help them avoid unnecessary fees come spring, ComEd regularly works with state and federal agencies to provide assistance options to those facing financial hardship.

The Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) is a federal program that can help you stay warm during winter by providing eligible customers with a one-time payment towards your energy bills. Benefits are available once per program year, September 2021 through May 2022, or until funds are exhausted. Whether you rent or own your home, LIHEAP offers financial help to limited-income households to pay heat and electric bills.
