Lombard Village Board to Review Proposed District Map on Feb. 3

The 2022 Redistricting process is currently underway within the Village of Lombard. The first reading of the ordinance to adopt the proposed Village redistricting map will take place at 7 p.m. on Thursday, February 3, 2022.

The Village Board unanimously supports the proposed revised district map. Of all available options, this map displaces the least amount of people (2,623 residents) and most closely matches the existing district boundaries. Residents are reminded that this process will only impact Village Trustee districts, boundaries, and maps—not any other school, township, park, or library district lines.

Winter Reminders

Snow Plowing

Winter of course brings snow plowing. Visit our Snow Plowing page for detailed information about how the Public Works Department performs snow plowing, as well frequently asked questions related to snow plowing.

Residential Street Parking

After 1" of snowfall, residential street parking is not allowed. Residents are encouraged to avoid street parking during any winter weather conditions. Cars parked on streets greatly reduce the speed and efficiency of plowing and salting efforts. Requests for overnight street parking will not be granted during winter weather events.

Frozen Water Pipes

Often times in extreme cold weather, pipes in your house may freeze. See the Frozen Water Pipes page for tips to avoid frozen pipes and what to do if a pipe does freeze.

The basement steel at the new Helen Plum Library has been set, and work on erecting the main building steel will begin after the cold weather dissipates this week. At Lilac Station, the precast planking for the parking garage has been completed and additional work will begin over the next month.
