The Village of Lombard is hosting its annual fall blood drive on Wednesday, Nov. 13 in honor of Veterans Day. This event also recognizes the former Village President Bill Mueller, who passed away in 2012. Residents are encouraged to donate blood in honor of Mueller’s dedication to Lombard’s veterans.
The blood drive will take place from 8 a.m. - 1 p.m., at Yorktown Shopping Center, and at Village Hall, 255 E. Wilson Ave., from 1:30 – 7 p.m. Donors will receive a $10 Colonial Cafe Certificate and a free pint of Culver’s Frozen Custard.
In an effort to remember the outstanding courage and commitment to freedom made by our veterans, residents are encouraged to donate. Bill Mueller was a life-long servant to the Village of Lombard and this blood drive honors his passion for giving back to community members, including Lombard’s veterans.
