On Monday, October 7th, the village’s contractor Hard Rock Concrete Cutters, Inc. will be in the Village cutting and slicing trip hazards in zones 3 & 4 on the map. This process costs less than removing the entire sidewalk square, and saves the village significant cost to improve sidewalk infrastructure. Each machine is equipped with water for dust suppression. After the cut is complete there is a small amount of concrete slurry that is washed away and diluted. This process is not harmful to vegetation. The process will be no longer than 20 minutes per cut and residents will have full access to their driveways.
