The Village of Lombard invites residents to attend its 17th Annual Senior Fair, scheduled for Wednesday, October 4, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. This informative and engaging event will take place at the Lombard Park District’s Madison Meadow Athletic Center, located at 500 E. Wilson Avenue.
During this year's Senior Fair, attendees will have access to a wide range of services and resources. Health and wellness services will be available, including free health screenings and flu vaccinations provided by local healthcare professionals. Attendees can also explore local resources, such as housing information and senior programs. The Secretary of State’s Mobile Driver’s License Facility will also be on-site, offering to renew licenses and issue State I.D. cards. In addition, local agencies, community groups and vendors will provide information about senior-focused products and services, from home healthcare to accessibility solutions.
Complimentary refreshments, including coffee and snacks will be provided during the event, and the Lombard Park District will be offering free all-day passes to the facility.
“We're excited to host this annual event that helps local seniors connect with important services and resources,” said Trustee Dan Militello and Chair of the Community Relations Committee, which helps to organize the event. Community Relations Committee members include Ahmed Ali, Pamela Bedard, Michael Ledonne, Kaveria Lezza, Gladys Piper, and Sharon Vish.
