[ARCHIVED] Winter Parking Reminders

Cars parked in snow with text

As the holiday season continues and loved ones come into town, the Village of Lombard asks residents to be mindful of street parking rules. Parking on Village of Lombard streets is not allowed after 1” of snowfall. If more than 1” of snowfall is experienced, residents and visitors are responsible for removing their vehicles from the street to create a clear passage for snowplows. This helps our Public Works crews work safely and efficiently to keep our streets clear of snow and ice.

Overnight Parking

Overnight on-street parking between 2 a.m. to 5 a.m. is not allowed in Lombard, per Village ordinance. However, during non-snow conditions, residents may request a temporary exemption of overnight parking at www.frontlinepss.com/lombard, with a maximum allowance of 4 days per month. If extended time is needed for long-term guests or home construction projects, residents may call (630) 873-4400 and speak to Police Administration staff. Please note that overnight requests will not be granted if the current weather conditions include a 1” snowfall.
