At 6:41 p.m. on Sunday, March 14th, the Lombard Police Department responded to a call regarding a vehicle burglary in progress in the block of 300 W. Harrison Street. Treyvon M Paige, 22, from Bellwood, was detained by witnesses prior to police arrival. Paige has been charged with two counts of burglary and one count of unlawful possession of credit/debit cards. This is an ongoing investigation.
Vehicle burglaries continue to occur at a high rate throughout the suburbs. Lombard Police are taking this opportunity to remind residents to always lock their vehicle doors and to never keep any valuables in their vehicles. While the “9 p.m. routine” is encouraged, burglaries can happen at any time, and residents should adopt the habit of locking their vehicle doors, house doors and windows, and turning on exterior lights when it is dark.
