Lombard’s 2020 Sidewalk Cutting Program is up and running. There are 220 miles of Lombard public sidewalk that are maintained by Public Works. When a section of sidewalk is ½ - 2 ½ inches higher than an adjacent section, Sidewalk Saw Cutting could help to quickly fix the issue. This process is a fast, cost effective way to help level out uneven sections of sidewalks and improve safety.
If you would like to report a section of uneven sidewalk, please feel free to submit the location to consideration at www.villageoflombard.org/reportaconcern. The Village of Lombard’s sidewalk program also provides a 50%/50% cost share program for sidewalks that are not determined to be trip hazards, but where property owners would like to replace the adjacent sidewalk.
