Lombard Public Works has generated a large surplus of mulch as a result of the tornado that impacted the Village on August 10th. Since then, crews have been mulching a massive amount of tree debris. The Village is now offering free mulch delivery to residents on a first come first serve basis. To receive mulch, residents must fill out the mulch request form available at www.villageoflombard.org/mulch.
A maximum of 3 cubic yards can be ordered to be delivered by Public Works crews. Deliveries will be made on Fridays beginning September 11th. After submitting a request, you will receive a confirmation by email with your expected delivery date. Landscaping companies and others desiring more than 3 cubic yards should contact Public Works to schedule a time to pick-up using their own vehicles. Residents will be given preference for pick-ups.
The Village thanks the Park District for providing a staging area at Lombard Common, where debris could be stored during the Village’s tornado recovery efforts, and reminds residents to refrain from accessing this area.
