2018 marks the 17th anniversary of the September 11th Attacks on the World Trade Center, and the Village of Lombard is joining organizations across the country to encourage blood donations to honor those who lost their lives.
Lombard’s Annual “We Remember” Blood Drive is scheduled for Wednesday, Sept.12, 2018, 8:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. in the Heartland Mobile Coach (parked outside entrance 5 between Von Maur and The Eatery), and 1:30 – 7 p.m., at Village Hall, 255 E. Wilson Ave. All donors will receive a free Bears long-sleeved t-shirt, coupon for a free pint of Culver’s custard, a free entry voucher for Siegel’s Cottonwood Farm Pumpkin Fest and will be registered to win a Yorktown gift card.
“Donating blood takes only 45 minutes and can save the life of someone in need,” said Lombard’s Blood Drive Coordinator, Carol Bauer. “Every 3 seconds someone needs blood and when you donate, you are providing someone’s friend or loved one another chance on life.”
Walk-ins are welcome but appointments are preferred. Please call Carol Bauer at (630) 620-5712 with questions and visit www.villageoflombard.org/blooddrives for more information.
