[ARCHIVED] Lombard Fire Respond to Structure Fire

The Lombard Fire Department responded to a report of a structure fire at 40 W. Roosevelt Rd. on Thursday, July 3rd at 9:55 p.m.

Upon arrival, firefighters found a closed business that was filled with smoke. Crews forced entry into the involved unit and were able to rapidly locate and extinguish the fire. No injuries to civilians or first responders were reported. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.

Firefighters checked adjoining units and discovered only smoke damage. The impacted unit received heat and smoke damage, and it will be inoperable for some time.

Lombard Fire was assisted by the Lombard Police Department, and fire crews from Oak Brook, Wheaton, Lisle-Woodridge, and York Center.
