[ARCHIVED] Lombard Fire Department responds to residential house fire

The Lombard Fire Department responded to a report of a structure fire in the 100 block of S. Stewart on Sunday, June 28, 2020. Upon arrival, firefighters were met by the homeowner who identified that the location of the fire was in the basement of the home. Crews quickly located, secured, and extinguished the fire.

The home sustained moderate damage on multiple floors making the home uninhabitable until repairs can be made. No civilians or firefighters reported injury with this incident.

The Lombard Fire Crews were assisted by the Lombard Police Department, Elmhurst and Villa Park Fire Departments along with Addison and York Center Fire Protection Districts. Lombard Fire Investigation Unit is completing an investigation into the cause and origin of the fire.
