2019 Photo Contest Winners Announced

2019 Lilac Time Photo Contest Winner Tom Morris 1st Place (JPG)

The Village of Lombard is pleased to announce this year’s top winning photographs of the 2019 Lilac Time Photo Contest, in which residents and guests were invited to submit photos that best represented Lombard during Lilac Time.

  • First Place – “Welcome to Lilacia” Tom Morris
  • Second Place – “Home Sweet Lombard” by Andrea Waas
  • Third Place – “Looking Back Through the Lilacs” by Katie Kooima

All three of the top-placing photos will be displayed at Village Hall, will be used on the Village’s new website, and will be featured in the fall/winter issue of the Pride Newsletter.  The winners will also receive Yorktown Shopping Center gift cards, valued at $100, $50 and $25, respectively. Greg Kozlick, Della Kelly, Chris Runge and Daniela Hendricks receive honorable mention.

“I would just like to thank everyone who participated in this year’s contest. We received more photos than ever before and the competition was fierce,” said Trustee Dan Militello, chair of the Community Relations Committee, which selects the winning photos. “While all of the submitted photos were beautiful, the winning photos were chosen because they contained iconic imagery that focused specifically on Lombard during Lilac Time.”

Anyone with questions regarding the contest can visit for more information. Please contact the Village of Lombard’s Communications Coordinator Avis Meade at with any questions.
