Holiday Light Recycling and Tree Pick Up
Holiday Recycling Opportunities
Light Recycling Through Jan. 18
Old or unwanted holiday lights may be dropped off in a bin at Lombard Public Works, 1051 S. Hammerschmidt Avenue, to be recycled by Elgin Recycling. The collection will begin on Thanksgiving (Nov. 26th) and will run through January 18th. Lights should be placed in the bin located in front of the building and is accessible at any hour. Remove plastic ornamentals and bags from the wiring to prevent entangling in the processing machinery.
Free Holiday Tree Pick Up
Residents may place holiday trees, free of tinsel and decorations, at their curbsides, January 4-15, for free disposal.
