Lombard Village President Keith Giagnorio recently presented the 2017 State of the Village at a luncheon hosted by the Lombard Chamber of Commerce.
The presentation focused on the results from a National Citizen Survey that was distributed to Lombard residents in late 2016.
President Giagnorio reported that the National Citizen Survey results show that Lombard residents view the state of Lombard as strong. According to Lombard’s National Citizen Survey, 93% of residents rated Lombard an excellent or good place to live, 90% rated Lombard as an excellent or good place to raise a child, and 98% of people polled felt safe in their neighborhood. Departments and topics covered in the speech included the economy, public safety, new developments, community engagement, transportation and mobility.
Giagnorio shared the Village’s commitment to continuing to deliver a balanced budget each year. “With our national debt approaching $20 trillion and the 2017 Illinois annual budget deficit at $13 billion, I’m happy to stand before you to say that the Village of Lombard has continued to deliver a balanced budget, year after year,” said Giagnorio.
