The Village of Lombard is hosting its fourth annual Bill Mueller Memorial Blood Drive this year to coincide with Veteran’s Day on Wednesday, November 11, 2015.
The blood drive will take place from 9:30 a.m. – 1 p.m., at Yorktown Shopping Center in a mobile coach parked by mall entrance #2, near Carson Pirie Scott. The blood drive will then move locations to Lombard’s Village Hall, located at 255 E. Wilson Ave., from 1:30 – 7:30 p.m.
Bill Mueller was a life-long servant to the Village of Lombard, and this blood drive pays tribute to his passion for giving back to the community. “Giving blood at the Memorial Blood Drive is a wonderful way to pay tribute to our longtime leader Bill Mueller,” said Blood Drive Coordinator Carol Bauer. “Bill was a champion of the blood drives here in Lombard. Giving back is a fantastic way to remember Bill’s service to others.”
Since hosting its first blood drive in 1988, the Village of Lombard has collected enough blood donations to potentially save more than 36,500 lives. Appointments are highly recommended and may be made at www.heartlandbc.org or by contacting Carol Bauer at (630) 620-5712.
