The Village of Lombard, per the request of Lombard Town Centre, is reminding residents and visitors to Downtown Lombard, that violators of posted parking signs are subject to ticketing.
To help accommodate the increased need for short-term customer parking in Downtown Lombard, Lombard Town Centre, the Village’s Illinois Main Street organization, has asked that the Village of Lombard remind residents to obey already posted parking restriction signs. Street parking in Downtown Lombard is primarily designated as 2-hour parking in order to provide parking for Downtown Lombard customers. Residents or visitors wishing to park longer than two hours may take advantage of a new ordinance that allows free, all-day parking after 11 a.m., in commuter lots. For a map of these commuter lot locations please visit villageoflombard.org/downtownparking .
To help educate visitors, residents and unknowing violators, the Lombard Police Department will be distributing educational materials along with any warnings or tickets issued, to cars that violate the posted restrictions. For more information please visit villageoflombard.org/downtownparking or call Deputy Police Chief Tom Wirsing at 630-620-4480.
