The Village of Lombard is hosting its Fall Blood Drive on Wednesday, Sept. 16, from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Yorktown Entrance 2 near Carson Pirie Scott, and from 1:30 to 7 p.m. at Village Hall, 255 E. Wilson Ave.
The “We Remember” blood drive is in remembrance to those who lost their lives in the 9/11 tragedy.
“One of the greatest ways to give back to a community and to help support those in need is to donate blood. At this blood drive, we remember all of those who lost their lives on 9/11”, said the Village’s Blood Drive Coordinator Carol Bauer. “We look forward to seeing our Lombard community coming out to donate blood and to help save lives.”
Blood donors will be entered into raffles to win tickets to the White Sox and Detroit Tigers game on October 4 including a parking pass and 4 tickets to the Stadium Club, and a Yorktown Center gift card. All donors will receive a coupon from Culver’s for a free pint of frozen custard. Walk-ins are welcome, but appointments are preferred. Anyone with questions regarding either the Fall Blood Drive or those who would like to make an appointment to donate can contact Bauer at (630) 620-5712 or email her at firstname.lastname@example.org.
