Timothy Sexton serves as the Director of Finance for the Village of Lombard, a position he took over in September 2007.
Sexton joined Lombard in 1999, and was the Accountant for four years prior to becoming the Assistant Director of Finance, a position he held for four and a half years prior to being promoted to his current position. Before joining Lombard, he spent three years working in a corporate tax department and one year as a state tax auditor.
He also served for nine years in the Illinois Army National Guard and Army Reserves. He is a member of the Illinois Government Finance Officers Association and of the national Government Finance Officers Association. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from NorthernIllinoisUniversity and holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration from NorthernIllinoisUniversity.
